Harry Ramsdens Fish 'n' Chips Restaurant Manchester - reader comments

"Staff were all nice, we felt looked after and really enjoyed my Fish, Chips & Mushy Peas. I will be going back to Harry Ramsdens soon." - kevin lawlor, lancashire 94/09 (visited on a weds afternoon)

"I took my son to Harry Ramsdens Old Trafford. We each had Fish & Chips and each had a glass of Coke. The bill was £17.30, I think the price says it all. The food is nothing special. I have had a lot better from a high street fish & chip shop for only £7.00." - Tony, Wrexham 8/4/09 (visited on a tuesday afternoon)

"What left me disappointed at Harry Ramsdens was the bread arrived before the meal, and myself and 2 children started eating it, and it was when I was on my second slice of brown bread that I noticed green mould on it. I pointed it out to the waiter, who showed it to the manager and all they did was offer us more bread, No apology or discount for our meal. Fish is good but check the bread first." - John Elder, Aberdeen 26/8/08 (visited on a wednesday evening)

"We come to Harry Ramsdens on a regular basis and always enjoy it. The fish especially is always very fresh. The staff are very helpful and friendly." - Joan Walsh, Salford 13/3/08 (visited on a saturday afternoon)

"I ate at Harry's for lunch before a Manchester United game. Being from the USA I was excited about trying the fish and chips. Great food. Great game. Thanks for everything. Two thumbs up." - Brian Grantham, Mississippi, USA 11/3/08 (visited on a sunday lunch)

Trusted Reviewer "As far as fish & chippies go, Harry Ramsdens is incredibly expensive however the quality of the food, excellent service and the size of the portions are all quite impressive. The decor is 110% better than their old 'dodgy' setting on the edge of the city centre and being located just next to Old Trafford is always a bonus." - matthew, manchester 20/4/07 (visited on a friday afternoon)
