The Old Wellington Inn Manchester - reader comments |
"The Old Wellington is a great place to relax and recharge during a lengthy shopping trip. The food and drink are both good (especially the pies which we've had on previous occasions). Olde worlde atmosphere, always a pleasure to come back to. " - P.C., Poulton Le Fylde 9/4/09 (visited on a weds afternoon)

"I love The Old Wellington restaurant so much, perfect for a happy, relaxed meal with friends. Excellent location also, as you are sat in a centuries old pub looking out at the most modern buildings in Manchester. I have been here several times and can't recommend it enough" - Niamh McNamara, Manchester 9/10/08 (visited on a friday evening)

"The first time we visited the Fish Platter was spot on with fresh shell on prawns, etc. On our second visit the same dish had soggy frozen prawns in a dish and was served on hot plates. Fish on a hot plate!?! Seems to have gone downhill rapidly" - Mark, Leyland 23/5/08 (visited on a saturday afternoon)

"Visited few months ago, busy Saturday afternoon, had to wait for a table for few minutes but once seated had fantastic meal, excellent service and friendly hard working staff. Best fish and chips I've ever had" - Rudie Golightly, Leyland 16/4/08 (visited on a saturday lunchtime)
