Kebabish
Original Cheetham Hill Manchester - reader comments |
"Superb
food in beautiful surroundings. I would have to add Kebabish
Original Cheetham Hill do the best grill food and curry dishes
in the North West, and I have been to a few including other
kebabish restaurants.
When we visited there were a number of families and a few
couples, the atmosphere was relaxed. If you are looking
for fantastic food but don't want to go all out by
dressing up to go to a restaurant than this is the place for
you. I have to also add at great value for money. There
was 8 of us plus two children and the bill came to around
£95 and we still had lots of food left over. I would
definitely recommend this place." -

"We
arrived at 8.30pm, order was placed at 8.45pm, our food did
get to us untill 10.15pm. Two dishes were missing and these
had to be reordered and didnt arrive for a further 30 mins
and were overcooked and greasy. The children (aged
5, 9 and 10), were almost falling asleep at the table. The
lamb chops and Seek Kebab were almost raw, the mix byriani
rice was dry and hard with very little meat. The chicken tikka
karahi that arrived 30 mins later than everything else was
just plain chicken that was dry, in a greasy mess that was
supposed to be a sauce, and had no taste whatsoever. We
left the restaurant unhappy, feeling unfed and with the
intention never to return." -

"I
have been to a number of Kebabish restaurants before but I
must say this branch beats all others hands down. The mix
grill was simply out of this world - I would encourage
people to go and experience for themselves." -

"I visited Kebabish Original with some work colleagues at
lunchtime, taking advantage of the Restaurants Of Manchester
special offer. It's only a short drive out of the city centre
(close to the old Boddies brewery and MEN Arena) and there's
parking outside so it was easy to go there, have a great lunch
and then return to work in less than an hour. The decor
is quite plush, surprisingly so if you've ever visited
the other Kebabish Original in Rusholme - which is dreadful!
Both the food and service is great, I opted for the
BBQ Chicken, as I didn't fancy anything too spicy before returning
to work, and at just £4.99 with nice Naan bread and a
bottle of coke, you'd be hard pushed to find any better
lunchtime deals. We'll certainly be returning for a few
more lunches." -

"I took advantage of the great lunch offer available on this
site with some friends at work, it got me a whole spit roasted
chicken, chips and a drink for an amazing £3.99! It was
really tasty and as a person who has trouble eating meat off
the bone it still went down well. The decor is impressive,
simple, classy clean design making this a pleasureable
dining experience. My only criticism is that many of the
tables were a mess when we walked in, and weren't cleaned
quickly, but perhaps they'd just had a rush on. It is a little
far from the city centre, but worth a visit, and excellent
if you live in the Cheetham Hill area. I think we'll be back
to take advantage of the amazing offer again." -

"We
were pleasantly surprised as the interior was really
impressive without being upmarket. We ordered the Mix
Grill and couldn't believe the size of the portion...
it was huge. The waiter recommended the Lahori Lamb which
was absolutey fantastic... and I would go as far as
to say the best curry I've had in a long time. We will definately
go back." -
