Australasia Restaurant Manchester
Australasia, a million miles away from anything else in Manchester, is a perfect antidote to stuffy fine dining attitudes.
Located underneath the Armani store in Spinningfields, on Deansgate, the Pacific Rim pan-Asian themed restaurant opened on 24th May 2011, with the menu devised by former Young Australian Chef of the Year, Paul Greening.
Modern Australian cuisine combines Pacific Rim flavours underpinned by European cooking tradition, a blend of Indonesian, Southeast Asian influences and Australia's strong ties with Japan also help determine the taste and style.
A late-night licence until 3am on Fridays and Saturdays, and a signature cocktail list and guest DJs adds to the Aussie ambience.
Australia offers a stylish but laid back slice of modern Australian life......down-under in Manchester.

Australasia Restaurant Reviews
"Following it's opening three weeks ago, we have visited Australasia seemingly almost every other night and, so far, enjoyed four great meals there, working our way around the menu in the process.
"After overcoming the initial disappointment that there's not a huge choice of Australian or New Zealand dishes to choose from, we were more than happy to devour the Pacific Rim selection. Largely from Japan, these not only better the other South East Asian restaurants in town, but possibly also the best of the fine dining establishments.
"Although it is still early doors, Australasia really will be considered the best restaurant in Manchester if they can continue to deliver food of this high quality and artistic presentation.
"Prices are reasonable and the decor is stunning - with no expense spared on even the smallest items. The wine card is presented to you on an iPad, the glasses are all fancy designer pieces and the furniture matches the fantastic bright lighting perfectly, making you forget you're actually underground.
"On our last visit, we bumped into celebrity chef Andrew Nutter, who was also working his way round the menu. 'The Mango soufflé is to die for!', he proclaimed, offering us a spoonful... as are most of the dishes, it has to be said." ~ Restaurants Of Manchester (June 2011)
