Pau
Brasil, a new sensation in Manchester dining, is a traditional Brazilian
Churrascaria, a steakhouse loved throughout Brazil for offering
succulent cuts of beef, pork, fish and poultry prepared by skilled
artisans. |
This
style of cooking found in the Churrascarias dates back to the Brazilian
cowboys, who roasted skewered cuts of meat over fire pits. Together
with the Brazilians zest for life, the idea has developed into what
you'll find at Pau Brasil on the corner of Lever Street and Great
Ancoats Street in Manchester's Northern Quarter |
They
don't
believe in limits at Pau Brasil, so use the concept of service 'Rodizio'
which translates to 'continuous service'.
With the delicious meat being carved at your table, you're able to
take as much, or as little, as you want during your visit (limited
to 1.5 hours on Friday and Saturday evenings). |
|
 |
Alongside
over 15 different cuts of beef, lamb, pork and chicken, there are
various other dishes on offer including salads, vegetables and selected
fine cheeses. |
| Control
of the pace of the meal is set by you, with a small two sided disc
on your table. Turned to green indicates you wish to have more meat,
and turned to red it means you can simply sit back and relax. Although
remember, with their fixed price menu you can turn it back at any
point. |
| Pau
Brasil also offers a lunch with plenty of options, from Monday to
Saturday, until 3pm. Enjoy unlimited visits to the extensive salad
bar with vegetables, fruit, selected fine cheeses and International
hot dishes to please a variety of preferences. |
| All
you can eat and much, much more, with waiters urging you on. Plus
salads. One thing is required to truly appreciate Pau Brasil Restaurant:
a large appetite to keep you eating. A caipirinha or two doesn't
hurt either. |
|
No
meal at Pau Brasil is complete without the ultimate Brazilian drink
made of sugar cane, lime and cachaça - ice cold Caipirinha.
|
 |
The
Caipirinha (pronounced kai-pee-reen-yah) is Brazil's signature cocktail.
On the beach at sunset, festive dinners and all night dance parties,
Caipirinhas are an essential part of any Brazilian celebration. |
| Like
all the best cocktails, the Caipirinha's beauty lies in it simplicity.
Muddled limes with white sugar and Cachaça. Stir or shake and
serve. Perfection. |
|
With Pau Brazil's cocktail menu offering over 20 variations on this
classic cocktail, there is sure to be something to tempt you. |
| Available
by the glass or by the bottle, there's also a large wine list to choose
from with Brazilian, Chilean and Argentine offerings joining those
from Italy, France, Spain, USA and South Africa. |

Pau
Brazil Reviews |
"Like
many Brazilians, Pau Brazil don't believe in limits and the concept
of continuous service, with as much quality meat as your belly
will allow, take's some getting used to. This is an all-you-can-eat
buffet where the main ingredients come to your table and are served
straight from the fire pit by excellent friendly chef's. You help
yourself to some quality salad and wait for the chefs to bring
you cuts of some of the best meat available in Manchester. It's
very easy to stuff yourself silly to the point where your eyes
are certainly bigger than your belly." -
