Fatoosh Restaurant Manchester - reader comments

"This place looks like nothing special, and the downstairs student-filled nargila bar could be a little bit off putting, but the staff are very friendly and food is lovely and terrific value. A really good bet for vegetarians, with fantastic fried halloumi, good fuul medammas, great Syrian-style spiced potato and a decent range of the other kinds of mezze you'd expect from a Middle Eastern restaurant. You can grab a quick snack there, or stuff yourself for less than a tenner a head including drinks." - sarah irving, manchester 23/11/08 (visited on a saturday evening)

"Gave it a try, to see if it was traditional Lebanese food, wasn't impressed. The food wasn't nice and was expensive in comparison to other places in Rusholme. Probably wouldn't go back." - fadi, manchester 25/10/08 (visited on a saturday evening)

"Good value, excellent for choosy children, fresh and tasty." - paul jenkins, dumfries 21/6/08 (visited on a saturday evening)

Trusted Reviewer "After customer reviews had pushed Fatoosh upto four stars on Restaurants Of Manchester, we decided to try it out for ourselves. While we were a little dissapointed with the service and the decor of the restaurant/diner we were very impressed with the food. All three of us opted for the Fatoosh Mix Shawarma Arabey Kebab, a traditional Lebanese dish consisting of lamb and chicken on a flat bread with chips and salad. Don't think of those kebabs that you have after a night out on the beers, this is something special! Well worth a try and for £6.50 it certainly is worth a visit. It was certainly better than the Cedar Tree, the Lebanese restaurant in the Northern Quarter we had visited a few weeks previous. Obviously this isn't going to be a place for a romantic date, but if you are in Rusholme and fancy something other than a curry give this a go." - restaurants of manchester 16/6/08 (visited on a friday afternoon)

"Very friendly staff, clean, great food, excellent eating experience. Great to have a puff on the old shisha too. Recommended to all." - johno, manchester 23/5/08 (visited on a thursday afternoon)

"Dont forget to smoke the shishas outside which are very nice." - daruish, manchester 22/4/08 (visited on a saturday evening)
