The wagamama Story - In Japanese, wagamama means ‘naughty child’, or ‘one who is wilful and determined’. A good example of that determination is the art of ‘kaizen’, meaning ‘good change’. This philosophy sits right at the heart of wagamama helping to shape every dish.
Practicing kaizen since 1992, from when the first restaurant opened its doors in London’s Bloomsbury. wagamama quickly burst into life creating a unique way of eating Asian cuisine. That was over 20 years ago and given two whole decades to sharpen skills and refine recipes.
